With deepest sorrow, we would like to inform you that well known Television and Theater artist Mr. John William Christian ( Yogen Chaklasia) passed away today. 

 

Mr. John William Christian (Yogen Chaklasia) was born and raised in Karamsad then he moved to Gomtipur, Ahmedabad. He was a primary teacher and retired as a principal. He was the very first Gujarati Christian who entered in to acting filed. He has acted in several drama and TV serials. He has directed some of drama and he has written few dramas too. He was very well known in theater industry and DOOR DARSHAN. He was also organizing tour to the holy land some other landmark locations. He was residing at Anupamnagar, CTM, when passed away today. His funeral was held at Maninagar Catholic Church at 5:00PM Indian time today.

 

May the Lord grant Mr. Yogen Chaklasia eternal peace and bliss in His Kingdom! Also, may He grant courage and hope to his entire family and loved ones in Canada and India.

Funeral arrangements are as follows:
Wake will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 1401 Oak Avenue, Evanston, IL on Thursday, July 17, 2014.  Funeral Services will be conducted between 10:30 am – 11:30 a.m. and interment procession will follow the church service (further information for interment to follow soon).
