Congratulation to Mr. Joseph Walter Edward, for receiving the US President’s Volunteer Service Award.

Mr. Joseph Walter Edward came to the states in 2008, landed at Atlanta Georgia. It was a bad phase of time due to the recession. So he moved to South Carolina and New Mexico states to seek job opportunities. While in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he got a chance to work at United States Naval Sea Cadet corps, which is part of United States Navy.

While working at Bataan Military Academy as a Math Science instructor and earned credentials, he become a USNSCC officer, he also got trained by the New Mexico Ranger Sherriff department of New Mexico, and became New Mexico Ranger and was able to work for the Sherriff department.

In 2016, he moved back to Atlanta, Georgia, and started working as a Math teacher, but still kept his passion for the Navy and Police, and kept on working for UNSCC. In the year 2019, he got a chance to volunteer as Police in Gwinnett County where he is currently living. He is physical fitness director for the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps, at delta force division, at Gillam fort, Jonesboro Georgia.

He also volunteered for the Gwinnett County medical department during this pandemic.

Mr. Joseph Walter, a second child of Mrs. Jayaben and Mr. Edward of Amod, was born and brought up in Ahmedabad. He did Masters in Physics and B.Ed., and became a Physics-Mathematics teacher. He worked in different Public and Convent schools in India from 1998 till 2008.

He has three siblings Nelson (eldest), Glory (third), and youngest Robin. Following their mother steps, they all four became teachers. He got married in 2003, with Rashmi from Gandhinagar daughter of Mrs. Saroj ben and Mr. Peter Bhai.

His wife Rashmi is also a Math teacher and served in India, and now in States too, as a math teacher. They have one daughter, Reyona (Gotu) and she is a 9th-grade gifted student.

He praises the lord for all this glory of Almighty, he is thankful to his family and friends.

We are sad to inform you that Fr Varghese Paul Chollamadam SJ (GUJ), 78/57, went to his eternal abode at 7.30 this morning (10th April) at GMERS hospital, Gotri. He was shifted to this hospital last night. Lately he suffered from Covid besides other illnesses that he was suffering from.
We thank Lord for his vocation to Gujarat Jesuit Province and his contribution to Gujarat Church and literature.
May his soul rest in peace!🙏🏻🙏🏻✝️✝️

Mrs. Juliana Mayal of Brooklyn, NY passed away today, April 03 2021.

Almost a year ago we lost Uncle Tulsi Mayal on February 12 2020 before lent begun. Today almost at the end of lent 2021 Mrs. Juliana Mayal left us to reunite with her husband.

Mrs. Juliana Mayal wife of Late Tulsi Mayal migrated to USA on September 19 1975. Along with her husband she was very much involved with the activities of Gujarati Christian Community not only in Brooklyn but the tristate area. May God grant her soul an eternal peace and comfort to her family and friends.

She is maternal aunt of Albina, Philomena, Deepak and Nitin Parmar.

Mr. Cecil Williams a member of Centenary Methodist Church, Vadodara promoted to his glory today.

Mr. Cecil Williams a member of Centenary Methodist Church, Vadodara promoted to his glory today. Mr. Cecil Williams a former cricketer who played for Baroda Ranji and railway team from 1961-62 to 1977-78. He was also a captain of the Baroda Ranji team.  After that he was continuously involved with cricket related activities throughout his life playing different role.  He is survived by his wife Mrs. Chetna Cecil Williams, his son Connor Cecil Williams, his daughter Namita Williams, grandchildren Hannah, Misha & Mayra.

His son Connor Cecil Williams also played for Vadodara Ranji team (1995-96 to 2010-2011) and was selected in Indian TEST team touring South Africa and England but did not get a chance to play any test. He is also playing different role in cricket world.

May God grant his soul an eternal peace and comfort to his family and friends.
