VK was born & raised in Palaj-Gujarat-India but moved to the United States in 1999. As a young adult, VK helped organize gospel camps, discipleship training camps, various retreats, mission trips, and conducted Bible studies. He currently works as an IT Computer Executive but has a passion for serving others and following Jesus’ footsteps. He serves as a Christ Servant Minister and Lay Leader at Morrisville United Methodist Church. He is also an active participant at the Laity Academy and attends all classes and conferences Laity Academy. He is among those leaders who easily combine local spiritual enlightenment and the quest for human flourishing. He is passionate about kingdom growth and the transformation that can take place in individuals and organizations. This past decade, he became more involved in evangelism to many different multi-language cross-culture churches. He served as a guest speaker and works in different committees at different leadership levels.

The first Indian-American to head a U.S. Roman Catholic diocese, Fernandes’ episcopal ordination and installation is scheduled for May 31.

Pope Francis has named Father Earl K. Fernandes, a priest of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, as the Bishop of Columbus. The appointment was publicized in Washington on April 2, by Archbishop Christophe Pierre, apostolic nuncio to the United States.

Father Fernandes was born on September 21, 1972, in Toledo, Ohio the fourth of five boys, and the son of Indian immigrants. He attended St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo, and then the University of Toledo where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. Father Fernandes attended Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary of the West in Cincinnati and holds a licentiate and doctoral degree in moral theology from the Alphonsian Academy in Rome, Italy (2004-2008). He was ordained to the priesthood on May 18, 2002, for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

Bishop-elect Fernandes’ assignments after ordination include: parochial vicar of Holy Angels parish, and religion teacher at Lehman Catholic High School in Sidney (2002-2004); dean and assistant professor of moral theology at Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary of the West in Cincinnati (2008-2016); and administrator of Sacred Heart parish in Cincinnati (2014-2016). From 2012-2016, he served as a member of the executive committee for the National Association of Catholic Theological Schools. During the the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy from 2015-2016, Father Fernandes was named a missionary of mercy. From 2016 to 2019, Father Fernandes served as a secretary at the Apostolic Nunciature in Washington, D.C. Since 2019, he has been pastor of Saint Ignatius of Loyola parish in Cincinnati, and since 2020, he has served as a member of the board of trustees at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus.

In addition to English, Bishop-elect Fernandes is fluent in Italian, Spanish, and French, and has reading knowledge of Latin.

The Diocese of Columbus is comprised of 11,310 square miles in the State of Ohio and has a total population of 2,828,514 of which 207,041 are Catholic.

Congratulations to Celina John on the release of her first short film as a writer/director. Celina is a daughter of Sharda and John Macwan of Nadiad. Johnbhai is an elder brother of my wife Clera Christian. The movie was launched on Amazon miniTV (India) on March 17 2022.  So proud of you Celina and wish you all the best for your future Projects.

Dr. Madhu Solanki grew up in a village called Khadana in Gujarat. He attended St. Xavier’s College in Ahmedabad and earned his PHD in 1969. He came to America in 1971 after obtaining his postgraduate degree in Chemical research. He worked with various chemical companies, eventually retiring from Merck/Schering Plough Institute after working as an Information Scientist.

He speaks four languages and considers English to be is second language. He belonged to Toastmasters International. After retirement he decided to write in order to share his life experience with young generation. He has written books in English with some translated into Asian languages. He has recently finished his fourth screenplay. This story was transpired from one of his screenplays. This book is published by Archway Publishing

UGCOA=DoGoodToAll organized a cricket tournament on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Johnson Park, Piscataway, NJ. Four teams participated in the “Unity Cup 2021”, ZNMD, EXODUS, GCS Guardians and UNITY. The park has two cricket pitch so two games can be played at once.

The first game was played ZNMD vs EXODUS. ZNMD made 76 runs for 8 wickets in 10 overs and EXODUS was bowled out for 43 runs in 10 overs.

Man of the match – Aron Unis – ZNMD – 28 runs in 16 balls with two sixes and one four.

The second game was played GCS Guardians vs UNITY. GCS Guardians made 105 runs for 4 wickets in 10 overs and Unity made 36 runs for 4 wickets in 10 overs.

Man of the match – Prakash Thomas – GCS Guardians – 3 wickets in 2 overs and given up 2 runs.

The third game was played UNITY VS ZNMD. UNITY made 55 runs for 2 wickets and ZNMD made 56 runs for 3 wickets in 6.2 overs.

Man of the match – Brijesh Rana – UNITY Made 10 runs in 15 balls, took 2 wickets in 2 overs and given up 10 runs.

The fourth game was played GCS Guardians vs EXODUS. GCS Guardians made 50 runs for 8 wickets in 10 overs and EXODUS made 41 runs for 4 wickets in 10 overs.

Man of the match – Johnson Christian – EXODUS – took 3 wickets in 2 overs and given up 7 runs.

Thus the ZNMD and GCS Guardians were qualified for the final. In the final game ZNMD made 81 runs for 3 wickets in 10 overs and GCS Guardians made 60 runs for 5 wickets in 10 overs. So ZNMD earned the champion trophy and GCS Guardians earned the runners up trophy.

Man of the match – Rodricks Christian – ZNMD – Made 44 runs in 30 balls with 4 fours.

Best Batsman of the tournament – Aron Unis – ZNMD – Made total 60 runs.

Best Bowler of the tournament – Prakash Thomas – GCS Guardians – Took total 5 wickets.

Player of the tournament – Aron Unis – ZNMD – Made 60 runs, most sixes (3) took 1 wicket, took 2 catches.
