શ્રી. સપના ગાંધી ના નિવાસસ્થાને “ભજન સંધ્યા” – ગુજરાતી કેથલિક સમાજ ઓફ યુએસએ.
“ભક્તિસંધ્યા”નું સફળ આયોજન
“ગુજરાતી કેથલિક સમાજ ઓફ યુએસએ” માટે તા. ૨૬ જુલાઈ, ૨૦૧૪ને શનિવારનો દિવસ યાદગાર બની રહ્યો. બ્રુકલિનસ્થિત ગુજરાતી ક્રિશ્ચિયન કોમ્યુનીટીનાં સક્રિય આગેવાન શ્રીમતિ સપના ગાંધીના પરિવાર તરફથી તેઓના નિવાસસ્થાને “ભજનસંધ્યા” યોજવા ભાવભર્યું નિમંત્રણ મળ્યું હતું. છેલ્લા છએક મહિના અગાઉથી તેઓનો ઉમળકાભર્યો આગ્રહ હતો કે, તેઓના નિવાસસ્થાને “ભક્તિ સંધ્યા” યોજાય! સંસ્થાના પ્રમુખશ્રી શાન્તિલાલ પરમારે આમંત્રણનો સ્વીકાર કરીને સંસ્થાના ૪૦ સભ્યો અને સ્થાનિક ૩૦ ઉપરાંત ભાવિકોએ સાંજના ૬:૩૦ કલાકે પ્રાર્થનાથી ભક્તિસંધ્યાનો આરંભ કર્યો હતો.
‘પવિત્ર ગુલાબમાળાની ભક્તિ”ના પાંચમાથી બે અંગ્રેજીમાં અને ત્રણ ગુજારાતીમાં જપમાળા ભક્તિમય રહી. દર દશકે ઈસુના પૂજ્ય હૃદયને શરણે ખાસ વિનંતી રજૂ કરવામાં આવતી હતી. ‘બાઈબલ વાંચન’ અને તેના ઉપર શ્રી શાંતિલાલ પરમારનો મનનીય-માહિતીપ્રદ વાર્તાલાપ સૌને ગમ્યો હતો. આજની “ભજન સંધ્યા” માટે પ્રાર્થનાઓ અને ભજનોની આકર્ષક ખાસ પુસ્તિકા સંસ્થાના આજીવન સભ્ય અને યુવાન કાર્યકરશ્રી અમિત મેકવાને તૈયાર કરીને સમૂહને ઉપયોગી યોગદાન આપ્યું હતું. એક પછી બીજું, તેમ અનેક ભજનો સમૂહમાં તથા ભજનિક ગાય, અને સમૂહ ઝીલે, તેવા ભક્તિરંગમાં રંગાઈને ઝૂમતાં અને ગરબાના તાલે ઘૂમવામાં શ્રીમતી કોકિલા ફ્રેન્કે સૌમાં ઉત્સાહ પૂર્યો હતો. રિધમમાં ‘હાર્મોનિયમ’ પર શ્રી. જગદીશ ક્રિશ્ચિયને રંગ જમાવ્યો હતો. તબાલાં અને ઢોલક પર સર્વશ્રી કેતન ક્રિશ્ચિયન, રજની અને અમિત મેકવાન તથા રોનાલ્ડ મેકવાન અને જેમ્સ જખાર્યાએ તાલબધ્ધ સંગત આપીને ભક્તિસંધ્યાને યાદગાર બનાવી હતી.શ્રી જોસેફ પરમારે આભારવિધિ કરી હતી. સ્વાદિષ્ટ વાનગીઓના ભોજનને માણીને ભક્તિનો બીજો દોર પણ ભાવપૂર્ણ અને ઉત્સાહી બની રહ્યો. સર્વશ્ર્રી. લિનસ ટેલર, બકુલ ફ્રેન્ક, પ્રવિણ ટેલર અને બ્રુલકિનસ્થિત ઘણા શુભેચ્છકોને શ્રીમતી સપના ગાંધી, તેમની દીકરી રાની ગાંધી અને તેમની બહેનો સેલિના અને લીનાએ નિમંત્રીને પ્રસંગની શોભામાં વધારો કર્યો હતો.

11 & 12 July 2014
at
Marymatha Major Seminary, Trichur, Kerala.
Rev. Dr Errol D’Lima, Professor Emeritus, Pontifical Athanaeum, Pune delivered the Inaugural Paper and
Prof. Dr Joris Geldhof from the Faculty of Theology, Catholic University, Leuven, Belgium delivered the Keynote Paper.
Six other eminent scholars approached the theme from various perspectives through their main
papers.

With deep sorrow, we would like to inform that Shri. Johnbhai Chaklasia, (father of our Pareshbhai Christian) is very sick in India. He is in I.C.U. and also on ventilator. Kindly say a special prayer for Shri. Johnbhai (Yogen) Chaklasia and May God grant him full and speedy recovery. Let us earnestly pray for Pareshbhai and his family as well.
