Mr. John Martin Macwan passed away on the evening of October 02, 2015 at the age of 73. He was a teacher at St. Mary’s Primary School, Mariampura-Petlad and Catechist for Petlad parish. May God rest him in peace and grant comfort to his family and friends.
FR. LOUIS MORETA SJ, aged 87, passed away this morning, 27 September, at 06.20 AM in Ankleshwar. The funeral will be at 10.00 AM tomorrow, 28 September, at CATHOLIC CHURCH, ANKLESHWAR.
May the soul of Fr Moreta rest in peace.

મારો જન્મ ૧૯મી ડિસેમ્બર ૧૯૨૭માં મનીલા ફિલિપાઈન્સ ખાતે થયો હતો, અને બાળપણ પણ ત્યાં જ વીત્યું હતું. હાઈસ્કૂલ સુધી અભ્યાસ કર્યા પછી, હું અમેરિકન સૈન્યમાં જોડાયો. અને ત્યારબાદ સ્પેન, જે મારા પિતાનું મૂળ વતન છે, ત્યાં જઈ તારીખ ૨૬-૯-૧૯૪૬ના રોજ ઈસુસંઘમાં જોડાયો.
તા. ૨૧-૧૨-૧૯૫૧માં મારું આગમન ભારતમાં થયું, અને ૨૪ માર્ચ ૧૯૬૧માં મની યાજ્ઞિક દીક્ષા મળી. ઈસુસંઘમાં અભ્યાસપૂરો થયા પછી ૧૯૬૩માં મારી નિમણૂંક ભરૂચ ખાતે થઈ. ભરૂચમાં ૧૫ વર્ષના કાર્યકાળ દરમિયાન હાઈસ્કૂલ ખોલ્યા પછી, ૧૯૭૮માં અંકલેશ્વર ખાતે મિશન શરૂ કરવામાં આવ્યું, જ્યાં ગામડાંઓમાં પણ જવાનું થતું હતું. અંકલેશ્વરમાં બોર્ડિગ શરૂ કરી અને ટેકનીકલ સ્કૂલ પણ ચાલુ કરી. આ વર્ષે ઓચિંતા ઉપરીએ મારી કરમસદ ખાતે બદલી કરી. જરૂરિયાત હોવાથી મેં સાત વર્ષ કરમસદ ખાતે ગાળ્યાં. ઈ.સ. ૨૦૦૧માં ફરીથી મારી બદલી અંકલેશ્વર ટેકનીકલ સંસ્થા ખાતે થઈ અને હું પરત આવ્યો. ત્યારથી આજ સુધી હું અંકલેશ્વરમાં કાર્યરત છું.
મને ફૂટબોલ રમવામાં ખૂબ રસ હતો. આથી આણંદમાં એની પૂરતી મઝા મેં માણી. મારી રમતની હોંશિયારી નિહાળી ઘણા યુવાન વિદ્યાર્થીઓ આ રમત શીખ્યા એટલું જ નહીં મારા અચ્છા દોસ્ત પણ બની ગયા. મારા પ્રિય વિદ્યાર્થીઓમાં બોર્ડરો પણ હતા. ઘણીવાર આ લોકો સાથે હું જાતજાતની રસિક ચર્ચાઓ કરતો હતો. આ મારા નાના મિત્રોને હું ઘણા ખુશ કરતો તેઓ મારા ઉત્સાહના અને જુસ્સાના પ્રશંસકહતા. હું કહેતો કે તમે ભાઈઓ જીવનમાં ઘણું આગળ વધશો. મારી ધારણા મુજબ પોત પોતાની રીતે આ વાત સાચી પડી છે.
This morning at 7:09 I received a call from Mr. Deepak Parmar to inform me that his cousin Mr. Amit T. Mayal is passed away. It was shocking that a 44 years young and healthy man is no more. He suffered a sever heart attack in his sleep and by the time his wife Karen tried to wake him up, it was too late. Along with his parents and relatives we paid a visit to his wife this morning to comfort her. He is survived by his wife Karen, daughter Juliana (he named her after his mom’s name) son Joseph, his father Mr. Tulshi Mayal, his mom Mrs. Juliana Mayal, and brother Peter (Niraj) Mayal.

We just celebrated the birth of Mother Mary on September 08, 2015 and now on September 10, 2015 Mother Mary (mother of Fr. Valentine Rebello) passed away. May God rest her in peace and give comfort to her family and friends. Please pray for her and her family.
My mother Mary died this afternoon at 3:45pm (Indian time) surrounded by her beloved family. She was truly a matriarch of the family and I owe my priestly vocation to her. I will miss my mom but I know she is now far far better place. Rest in Peace Mai. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support during these past days. God bless you all. My mom’s funeral place will take tomorrow Friday at 9:00pm. Please keep my family in your prayers..
