As scheduled we had our official first Gujarati Mass on Sunday, 17th February 2012 @ 6.30 pm in St. David Church offered by Fr Justin Thiraviam.

Following Mass we had pot luck dinner & Garba.

On this occasion Fr Justin made some great & important announcement for Gujarati Catholic Community of Toronto.

Fr Justin is appointed officially as a Chaplin of Gujarati Catholic Community in Toronto by Rev Cardinal of Toronto. An official letter has been issued dated Jan 1st 2013 to all Paris in Toronto. Now Gujarati community will have all the rights in church as per law.

Further it is confirmed that St. David Church, 2601 Major Mackenzie Drive, Maple, Ontario, L6A 1C6 will be the centre parish for Gujarati community.

Fr Justin told us that one Gujarati Priest always will be available in this Paris to serve Gujarati community, to do this Parish priest of St David can request (when ever required) From Bishop of Diocese of Ahmadabad to send a Gujarati priest.
