DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends\,\n  \nHe smiled with us\, he played with us\, he shared our sorrow\, he prayed for us\, he preached us the word of God\, he offered masses for our health and well-being\, he offered prayers for our departed ones\, he motivated us\, he inculcated a sense of togetherness among us and became a part of our family. Friends\, as most of you’ll know\, Fr. Justin is going back to India and it’s time to say Good Bye\, until we meet again.\n  \nFr. Justin has been in Canada for approximately 6 years and has witnessed almost every occasion of our community. Whether be it blessing our new homes or celebrating baptisms and holy communions; whether be it birthdays or community functions\, whether be it offering mass for our health and wellbeing or praying for our departed ones\, whether be it solving our personal problems or providing references for our jobs\, he has always found time for us from his busy schedule. He was appointed as the first Chaplain of our Gujarati Catholic Community in the Greater Toronto Area. He has done tremendous work through St. David’s Parish by helping our community in the Ahmedabad diocese and we are pretty sure that he has\, in some way or the other\, been helpful to us and enhanced our lives.\n  \nAs a small gesture of reciprocation\, we have organized a mass and farewell function for Fr. Justin on Sunday\, 28 June\, 2015 as well as will be welcoming Fr. Masilamani who has been appointed as a new Chaplain of our community. Fr. Mani is an enthusiastic and energetic priest and our community will definitely benefit from his service in coming days.\n\nFr. Anton Macwan and Fr. Justin Susai will also be present among us to celebrate the mass on 28th June. Fr. The Holy Mass with Fr. General Jacob Nampudakam was celebrated in English and during Mass three members of the Congregation three “Cenacle Sisters of the Sacred Heart“ from India\, member-community of the UNION\, received mission mandate to go to Peru. There they will establish its first international community\, to work in conjunction with confreres from the St. Paul Province already ministering in collaboration with the Immaculate Conception Province. After the celebration everybody was invited to an excellent Indian meal.\n  \nThe next morning the three sisters\, together with their Mother General\, another Sister and Fr. General they left for this distant mission\, 3200 meters above sea level. They themselves will be barely aware of the challenges​ ahead of them\, the extreme cold on the mountains\, the different ​culture\, the language\, the solitude\, the dangers on the road\, the low atmospheric pressure etc. Yet they are “going out”​\, to the periphery\, as Pope Francis invites us all to do. DESCRIPTION:The Diocese of Metuchen\, NJ has made arrangements for bus transportation to the Papal Mass on September 27\, 2015 in Philadelphia from various locations throughout the diocese. A number of parishes/groups are also running bus trips to the Papal Mass (check with your parish). The Papal Mass is scheduled for 4:00 pm on Benjamin Franklin Boulevard\, Philadelphia. Once we have a clear picture of the number of people who want to participate from each site\, we will assign bus coordinators and send confirmation materials with precise details. Prayer and reflection resources will also be provided to enable pilgrims to share a common experience as the Diocesan Church in preparation for and on the day of this special event.\n  \nThe round trip bus reservation and pilgrimage package will be $55. per person. Each participant is responsible for their own meal costs on that day and also any train/shuttle expenses from the parking lot to the event site and back. Pilgrims should be physically fit and prepared to walk several miles. Reservations for bus seats are limited and will be accepted on a “first-come first-served” basis. DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends\,\n  \nGujarati Catholic Samaj of USA invites all members and Gujarati Christians for an annual summer picnic-BBQ. Please come and join us for the summer picnic-BBQ on July 04\, 2016. We try not to spend any money from the funds of our Gujarati Catholic Samaj of USA. We are expecting more than 100 people and it would be difficult to prepare by one or two families. In order to make it comfortable and affordable it would be ideal if each family can bring the following items for this event. This is not mandatory.\n  \n\n\nFamily of four or less – at least one small tray of marinated chicken (legs\, thighs\, breasts etc.) ready for BBQ. Also bring at least one two liter bottle of soda or juice.\n\n\n  \n\n\nFamily of four and up – at least one big tray of marinated chicken (legs\, thighs\, breasts etc.) ready for BBQ. Also bring at least one two liter bottle of soda or juice and one gallon of water.\n\n\n  \n\n\nCharcoal grill\, Tent\, folding chairs\, rugs\, cooler\, playing material and any other useful item for picnic.\n\n\n  \nBesides chicken and beverages we need the following items. We would appreciate if anybody wants to sponsor any particular item.\n  \nFood items – Hotdogs\, hotdog buns\, burgers\, cheese\, BBQ sauce\, tomato sauce\, tomato\, bag of onions\, bag of jalapeno and or bell pepper\, lemons\, Corns\, ice bags\, can of salt\, Watermelon etc.\n  \nOther items – Charcoal\, igniting fuel\, foils\, plates\, cups\, napkins\, garbage bags\, hand sanitizer.\n  \nBBQ grilling items – BBQ utensils\, knifes\, metal grill skewers\n  \nPlease confirm your participation with number of people and the items you are willing to bring\, by June 30th 2016 so we can arrange all necessary items.\n  \nThank you for your cooperation.\nGCSofUSA
