August 18 2011: Shri Paul Thomas Parmar (Dahyabhai) of Jitodia – Anand who was born on 22nd March 1919 and passed away on August 12th at 8:45 AM after suffering short sickness. He is survived by his two sons Mr. Peter Paul Parmar (Retired Talati) Anand – Kokilaben, Philip Parmar-Dharmishthaben and two sisters Vimlaben and Marthaben, grand children Manish Parmar (I/C Principal, Christian College of Management Studies), Cyril Parmar (Executive officer, AMUL), Vincent Parmar (Teacher, Zen School), Parul, Anita, Nelson, Ankit and Priyanka. His Prayer Meeting (Besna) was held on 15th August 2011, more than 500 people gathered to attend Besna at Jitodia. Rev. Fr Xavier S J and Fr Toni S J offered prayer and remembered the dedication by Dada to the Society at large.
He was very kind, humble and intellectual person. He played lead role in occupying cemetery land from government, he was also main member during earlier years in Gram Panchayat Jitodia. He also worked with missionaries at St Paul’s Church, Mumbai so he was very fluence in English language. He was very daring personality and a true truth lover.
He was very spiritual, well respected in not only Christian community but also in other communities. He possessed great leadership ability. Even in his elderly years, he was quick to help and give direction to those around him as and when needed. He played remarkable role in arranging and rearranging marriages in our community. He will be greatly missed by the entire family and the community too.
Funeral mass was offered by Fr Patrick S J, Principal, St Xavier’s High School, Chavdapura and Fr Albert Delgado S J, Parish Priest, Gamdi-Anand. Several Fathers, Sisters, brothers including Fr Anil Sevrin S J and Brother Abril S J, Fr Agnelo S J and large number of people from Jitodia, Chavdapura, Gamdi and Anand were present both the time funeral and Besna.
May God rest him in peace and give strength to his entire family.
