All Glory and Praises to Lord Jesus Christ for this dream to come true that started almost 25 years ago! As a family we have always enjoyed singing Church hymns-bhajans in our native, the beautiful language Gujarati! My father Mr. Joseph Beda Parmar lead the Church choir in my younger days and my elder brother Jagadish Christian followed his footsteps. I have been a huge fan of Motabhai Jagadish’s melodious voice.

While leaving in Jersey City, NJ, we met Mr. Michael Scribe, a musical Maestro who has traveled many parts of the world with various orchestras in his younger days. His musical abilities prompted me to this dream of having an album composed by Mr. Scribe and sung by Mr. Jagadish Christian. Well, somehow this dream stayed undercover and finally we are here with different singers!

આપની સમક્ષ પ્રભુ પિતાની આરાધના માટે “કીર્તનસાગર”માંથી ચૂંટેલા આ આઠ ભજનોનું ‘વેબ આલ્બમ’ “પ્રાર્થના” રજુ કરતાં ઘણો આનંદ થાય છે. આપણને “પવિત્ર બાઇબલ” નાં વચનો દ્વારા જીવન જીવવાનો સાચો માર્ગ પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે. જ્ઞાનમાર્ગે “બાઇબલ”નો ઉપયોગ જીવનને પ્રેરણા આપે છે. જ્યારે ભક્તિમાર્ગે આપણને પ્રભુનો અનુભવ થાય છે. બાઇબલનાં જ વચનો, જે ભજનો સ્વરૂપે “કીર્તનસાગર”માં પ્રકાશિત થયેલાં છે તે ભજનો, ગુજરાતી સાહિત્યમાં એક આગવું સ્થાન ધરાવે છે.

મારા પૂજ્ય પિતાજી જોસેફ બેડા પરમાર દ્વારા પસંદ કરાયેલા આ આઠ ભક્તિગીતો, જે પ્રભુ પિતાની પ્રેરણા થકી અમારી, એટલે કે કેતન અને ઈલાની મધ્યસ્થીના ફળ સ્વરૂપ, આજથી લગભગ પચ્ચીસેક વરસો પહેલાં અમેરિકા સ્થિત માનનીય માઈકલ સ્ક્રાઈબ દ્વારા મનભાવન રાગોમાં ઢાળવામાં આવ્યાં હતા અને ગુર્જરભુમિના જ સંગીતકાર શ્રી શૈલેષ એલ. મેકવાન તથા શ્રી બ્રિજેશ આર. પરમારના સંગીત સંયોજન દ્વારા ભક્તિમય બનાવાયા છે. ગુજરાતી શ્રધ્ધાળુઓના કંઠે ગવાય અને તે દ્વારા પ્રભુનો મહિમા થાય, એ હેતુથી તૈયાર થયેલ આ ભક્તિગીતોના સંપુટને ગુજરાતી ભક્તોની આગળ પ્રસ્તુત કરતાં અનહદ આનંદ અને ગૌરવ થાય છે.

આ પ્રકારનાં ભક્તિગીતોને ગાનારાંઓમાં ગજબની શક્તિનો સંચાર થાય છે! આ ગાયકો, સંગીતકારો તથા સ્વરકારો પ્રભુમય બનીને પોતાના જીવનમાં પ્રભુની પ્રસન્નતા પ્રાપ્ત થયાનો અહેસાસ મેળવે છે. ઘરે ઘરે આ ભજનો ગવાશે અને આ ગીતોમાંથી જીવન જીવવાનું અમૂલ્ય ભાથું મળી રહેશે તેવી અપેક્ષા અને પ્રભુ પ્રાર્થના!
