Dear Community members,
With heart-filled joy and gratitude to God, I would like to inform you that we have been granted the official permission by His Eminence, Thomas Cardinal Collins to have Gujarati Masses in the Archdiocese of Toronto. Indeed, it took a while to put our heads together to come to this final desired stage as it required a few official meetings with four bishops and agreeing upon some of the standing and chief policies of the Archdiocese of Toronto.
It is a moment of joy for all of us to know that ‘Gujarati Language’ has become the 38th official language approved for our Liturgical service in the archdiocese of Toronto. Therefore, we can lawfully and visibly come together to celebrate Gujarati Mass.
I consider this as one of the best opportunities given to us to come together not only to participate in the Holy Eucharist but also just to share our togetherness, our friendship, our love and unity as one family with a variety of exciting programmes filled with laughter and fun.
Let us come together as often as possible. I would be always ready and willing to be at your service. Let us build up our community and cherish our unity and togetherness. I thought the best and appropriate time would be on 17th of February 2013 (Family Day – Long Weekend) to come together at 6.30 p.m. to celebrate the Holy Eucharist followed by potluck dinner and some fun.
I would highly appreciate your suggestions, full cooperation and active participation.
