Ms. Grena Christian received a Gold Medal in the Masters of Development Communication from Gujarat University.

It’s a proud moment for Gujarati Christian community as Ms. Grena Christian received a Gold Medal in the Masters of Development Communication from Gujarat University. She already holds MA and BEd degrees too. Congratulations to Grena Christian and she will continue her knowledge in “Gurjarvani” production and training camps.  

The 68th Annual Convocation of Gujarat University was held at the Senate Hall on its campus in the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Governor Shri of Gujarat and Chancellor of Gujarat University Shri Acharya Devvrat. Along with in the presence of the Guest of Honour Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama Hon’ble Education Minister, Chief Guest and Keynote speaker Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy Secretary, Dept. Of Defense R&D and Chairman, DRDO.
The Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devvrat (chancellor) of the University and Bhupendrasinh Chudasama the Education Minister of Gujarat, awarded the toppers from the different disciplines of the University.
Grena Christian was awarded a Gold Medal  in a very prestigious course.

There was a press conference at Prashant detailing various celebration organized to honor Mother Teresa in Ahmedabad.

There was a press conference at Prashant addressed by Father Cedric Prakash, Two sisters of Missionaries of Charity, Father Vinayak Jadav, Rajesh Christian and Father Ashok Vaghela. The speakers gave the details about the various celebrations to honor Mother Teresa – 1. An International Film Festival on 3rd, 4th and 5th Septemeber, A rally culminating in a civic function at Loyola School on 4th Sept evening and a function at the Mother Teresa chawlk near CNI Church, Ahmedbad on 5th Sept morning.

Gurjarvani has organized a Mother Teresa International Film Festival at St.Xavier’s Loyola HS School on 3rd 4th and 5th September.Signis India has gifted 20 international films produced on/about Mother Teresa .About 100 cities all over India will organize such events in the coming months.The screening of various films will be at the Jubilee Hall of Loyola School.The entry to the screening is free for all.The passes will be available from 1st September onward.For more details please contact Father Ashok Vaghela on 9427312342,Rajesh Christian 9426584028 and Grena Christian 9687933835.

Release of Dr. Fr. Vinayak Jadav’s book: Gujarati Literary Journalism – Trends & Experiments

Congratulations dear Dr. FR. Vinayak Jadav SJ. A great historical event : Release of Dr. Fr. Vinayak Jadav’s book: Literary Journalism Trends & Experiment it means Sahityik patrakaratva pravaho ane prayogo. Governor of Gujarat Shri O.P Kohli released this book. The book release program took place in Gujarat University Senate hall at 4:30 PM.

 

Miss Riya Shah set the tone by invoking God in a prayerful and devotional song. Fr. Vinayak himself welcomed all the honourable guests with a bouquet on the stage. The vice chancellor of Gujarat University gave a welcome speech. This was followed by an introduction of the book given by Dr. Kirtida Shah the guide of Fr Vinayak. Then the Governor was invited to release the book Shri Vishnu Pandya offered a word of appraisal on the book. The Provincial of Gujarat province, Fr Francis Parmar gave the blessings on the occasion pointing to harmony that is possible if different religions adopt a positive attitude towards each other committing themselves to humanising society at large.

 

The governor of Gujarat spoke at length defining the two streams of writing : literature and journalism. He highlighted the salient features of FR. Vinayak’s book. The governor praised the tireless efforts and commitment to writing of FR. Vinayak. Fr Vinayak concluded by giving a vote of thanks. The program ended with the National Anthem and light refreshment.
